Bifocal synthesizes insights from raw feedback and organizes them into high level, actionable themes. You can create and view insights on a Project or Session Level.
Project Insights extract and create themes across all types of feedback added to the project through individual sessions. These themes are viewable on the Insights tab.Each insight includes descriptive data like a category tag and the number of times it was mentioned throughout feedback. Insights also link to the exact quotes from feedback transcripts so that you can trace where the insight originated.
Session Insights are generated for Live Feedback Sessions and can be viewed directly within the “Admin View” of a session. To view session insights, locate the session on the Sessions tab and click the Admin View link. Once inside the admin view, navigate to the Insights tab.
One of the most powerful things you can do with Bifocal is instantly generate solutions for actionable insights. These solutions represent concrete ways to improve your prototype based on feedback.
To generate solutions for a Project level insight, navigate to the Insights tab and choose the insight you would like to explore solutions for. Select the Insight and at the bottom of the side view, you’ll see an option to “Generate Solution”. After clicking, a solution will be generated and become visible on the Solutions tab (note this might take 1-2 minutes to complete).
Generating Solutions during Live Feedback Sessions
To generate solutions for a Live Feedback Session, navigate to the Admin View of the session and select the insight(s) you would like to generate solutions for. Once generated, the solutions will live on Sessions>Solutions tab.After solutions have been generated, you can see a description of the proposed solution as well as the proposed changes to the page and any design inspiration Bifocal believes is relevant. If the solution sounds good, click on Generate Prototype to build a new version.
